Amman Music Talks:
Empowering the Creative Music Economy

Amman Music Talks is a music conference and showcase event that serves as a vital meeting point for industry professionals. It brings together artists, cultural workers and music experts from Jordan, the SWANA region, the Nordic Countries and Europe.

This year, we will explore the evolving role of music in times of crisis and change - focusing on music as a tool for resistance, survival, and solidarity, and elevating SWANA voices through conscious programming. We’ll delve into crafting artistic identity beyond genres and labels, examine the shifting dynamics of the regional music ecosystem, and highlight the growing potential for cross-sector collaboration between music and film in Jordan.

Through panels, workshops, speed meetings, and live showcases, AMT 2025 will spark critical conversations and creative connections across borders, fostering a more inclusive and gender-balanced music industry in the SWANA region.

AMT will be held alongside Amman Jazz in collaboration with Exchange Music Lab. Amman Music Talks is organized by Amman Jazz in partnership with Oslo World and Exchange Music Lab. It is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Norwegian and Swedish Embassies in Amman, the EU, EUNIC, the Institut français de Jordanie, the French Embassy, the Dutch Embassy, the Italian Embassy and Pro Helvetia Cairo, Swiss Arts Council.
