Amman Music Talks:
Empowering the Creative Music Economy

Amman Music Talks (AMT) is a three-day music conference and showcase event that serves as a vital meeting point for Jordan’s professional music sector. Unlike any other event in the region, AMT is fully dedicated to strengthening and professionalizing the music ecosystem, fostering local, regional, and international connections through dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and sustained collaboration.

Open to all music genres - from indie and electronic to jazz and hip-hop - Amman Music Talks brings together artists, producers, managers, distributors, publishers, festival directors, programmers, and cultural professionals alongside their Nordic counterpart, to engage in critical dialogue, explore innovative approaches, and co-develop strategies that support the long-term growth of the music sector.

The program includes panels, masterclasses, workshops, cultural visits, networking sessions, and live showcases, including collaborative jam sessions between Nordic and Jordanian artists. Conversations address shared challenges and collective solutions, with a strong emphasis on gender equality, freedom of expression, women’s empowerment, and the building of a more inclusive, sustainable, and future-facing music industry.

More than an event, AMT is a strategic intervention - responding to Jordan’s growing talent pool and creative energy while addressing the need for clearer structures, sustainable business models, and stronger protections for artists. It advocates for economic stability, fairer opportunities, and a more coherent and supportive environment for musicians and creatives.

AMT is curated and managed by the Amman Jazz Festival in collaboration with Oslo World, in partnership with the Swedish and Norwegian Embassies in Amman, and funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
